When most people think about support for unhoused individuals, the first thing that comes to mind is a shelter. A place to sleep. A roof. A bed. And yes, shelter matters. But for many of the people we serve here in Skid Row, a shelter is not where healing begins. It\'s not where trust is built. And for some, it\'s not a safe option at all. That\'s where a community resource center comes in. And understanding the difference isn\'t just a matter of semantics — it\'s a matter of life.
