Catalyst Livelihood Venture: Building Wealth for Smallholder Farmers through Agricultural Innovation

India is a leading groundnut producer, contributing largely to the country\'s agricultural economy. Despite its importance to the economy, smallholder farmers in regions like Kurnool, and Andhra Pradesh, face numerous challenges, including inadequate infrastructure and outdated farming techniques, which limit their ability to capture fair market value. Catalyst Livelihood Venture (CLV) is working to change this by supporting Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) and introducing agricultural innovation for farmers. In Kurnool, CLV facilitated an FPC to sell 14 metric tonnes of groundnuts, generating Rs. 10 lakh in turnover, despite setbacks caused by heavy rains. By building wealth for smallholder farmers and addressing value chain inefficiencies, CLV is fostering long-term economic resilience and empowering rural communities across India.
