New owners take helm at Comberton\'s Costcutter and post office Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced that Costcutter store and Comberton post office has been let to new operators. A new lease for the well-established convenience store, located on the main road through the village of Comberton on the outskirts of Cambridge, has been sold on behalf of the Patel family who, after owning and operating the store for 25 years, now wish to focus on other business ventures including property development. The lease for the store has been sold to Ratnam Sivaharan and his family, who have previous retailing experience. They plan to immerse themselves in the community and enhance the experience inside the shop. “We would like to thank our staff for all their help over the years, and our very loyal customers,” Dipesh Patel said. “We would also like to welcome Mr Sivaharan and his family to the local community. We are excited to see them bring new ideas and continue building on the customer experience.” Ratnam Sivaharan commented: “We are excited to take over this store from Dipesh and his family. We plan to grow the stock and range of products on offer, and we are looking forward to meeting our customers and settling into the community.”
