Andy is passionate about great food and good wine, and the synergies between them. Over the years, having taken courses and qualified in various related disciplines, both in wine and cooking, he decided to experiment with his own recipes. Taking some old favourites as well as some new ideas, adapting them, giving them his treatment, and making them his own. He was frustrated that most cookbooks had no wine recommendations or references, and that unless you were in the know, you were left wondering, which wine should I get to go with this? This being a big part of his vision, he decided to pair his recipes with accessible and affordable wines that complement and enhance each dish. A book where you didn’t need to ask the wine advisor in your local supermarket, what wine should I get to go with this food? Each of these menus has been tried, tested, and altered, with wines lined up to agree on the best match. There were many laughs, and a few failures along the way. He is very proud of this, his first book, and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as he did creating it.
