Rising allergy rates boost demand for hypoallergenic cleaning products There is a continuous increase in demand for its Allergy UK approved fragrance free house cleaning products, as the number of people living with an allergy continues to rise, states eco-cleaning product manufacturer Bio-D. Bio-D range of unscented cleaning and laundry products are now top sellers across all categories, which includes laundry liquid, fabric conditioner, washing up liquid and handwash. Sales are also up for each category year-on-year. This comes as the amount of people living in the UK with an allergy is set to increase in 2026 from one in three to just one in two. Allergy UK states that allergies cost the NHS more than £900 million per year to manage, with the UK ranking in the top three countries globally for the highest incidence of allergies. Lloyd Atkin, managing director at Bio-D said, “Creating products that are suitable for those with allergies and sensitive skin has always been a priority for us and over the past few years especially we have seen that allergy-friendly products are becoming an essential for a growing number of people.
