Myk Baxter Marketing (MBM) is a founder-led digital marketing agency based in Darlington, United Kingdom, helping businesses grow through strategic websites, SEO, digital marketing, paid advertising, branding, and performance-driven online solutions. Founded officially in 2010 by Myk Baxter, MBM was built on one simple principle: deliver honest advice, measurable results, and long-term business growth instead of selling unnecessary marketing services. The journey behind the company began long before MBM was incorporated. At just sixteen years old, Myk Baxter left his hometown of Newton Aycliffe in North East England to pursue a basketball scholarship opportunity in the United States. Although a professional basketball career was not the final destination, the experience shaped the qualities that continue to define the company today—discipline, resilience, independence, adaptability, and the confidence to embrace new opportunities. After returning to the UK, Myk started his professional career in direct sales, developing strong communication skills and learning how to build trust with customers. He later progressed through several sales and marketing roles before entering the digital industry in 2002, where he discovered his passion for websites, search engines, online visibility, user behaviour, and digital strategy. During his time at InfoServe, Myk advanced from Media Sales Executive to National Account Manager, gaining valuable experience in digital media, online marketing, and commercial strategy. This period sparked an important question that would eventually shape the future of MBM: Why do some businesses dominate online while others invest heavily in marketing without seeing meaningful results? Determined to answer that question through practical experience rather than theory, Myk continued expanding his expertise in digital marketing, lead generation, customer behaviour, conversion optimisation, and online performance. In 2008, he was headhunted by Corporate Publishing International (CPI) and relocated to Dubai to help traditional publishing businesses transition into digital platforms. During this period, he also strengthened his experience within the recruitment marketing industry, developing advanced knowledge of search intent, customer journeys, lead generation, performance marketing, and conversion optimisation. Following the global financial recession, Myk travelled to Thailand to reassess his future. While living in Phuket, he naturally found himself advising local businesses on websites, Google rankings, online visibility, user experience, and digital growth. What began as informal consultancy soon evolved into something much bigger. This was the true beginning of Myk Baxter Marketing. In April 2010, Myk Baxter Marketing Limited was officially incorporated in the United Kingdom.
