Object-based storage (OBS) is the method of storing unstructured data that are shared in any format such as PDFs, text, emails, videos, audio, graphics, webpages, etc. OBS enables organizations to control and manage non-hierarchical data produced in large volumes that are stored on either premises or in the cloud. The data that are distributed in multiple folders and subfolders in a device can be stored as individual objects in a single location.
